The Carbon Compact is hand shaped out of recycled Marko Foam, then glassed with Green Room Epoxy Resin—three layers of 4 ounce glass on the deck and two layers of 4 ounce glass on the bottom. The two carbon fiber tubes keep the board strong without sacrificing flex, and the titanium bolts secure a tight seal. Carbon fiber strips can be added to reinforce the board's structural integrity.
The Carbon Compact board was designed by Mike Becker and granted a full US Utility Patent in 2013. He engineered the ideal board for traveling that is easy to assemble and strong enough to withstand the heaviest surf.
